Our Story

Our farming experience has helped us choose some of California's exceptional agricultural ingredients like the sun dried apricots, almonds, and dates.

We first began selling our Apricot Almond Panforte alongside the basil, tomatoes, and other vegetables and fruits we have been growing on our farm and selling at the Chico, California Farmers' Market for over 20 years. Our original recipe was developed by trial and error over many years and tested on friends and family. We weren't trying to start a new business, we just liked panforte. People began buying it at the farmers' market and taking and sending it all over the world.

Panforte Company's Apricot Almond Panforte is a true artisanal food. Our farming experience has helped us choose some of California's exceptional agricultural ingredients like the sun dried apricots, almonds, and dates. We carefully mix small batches of these and other outstanding ingredients and press the mixture into loaves which are slowly baked. The panforte is delicious and nutritious.

We still sell our panforte Saturday morning at the downtown Chico Farmer's Market. Just like at the farmer's market, we want each new website or retail outlet customer to be a satisfied life-long customer. We hope to be baking panforte and growing fruit for many years to come.
